Visiting With Kelli

Major Setback
I just got home from the hospital tonight where Kelli had to have another major surgery. She had an abcess and fluid that was leaking in her stomach, so they had to go back in and repair it. 3 hours later and a lot of anxiety, she has stayed in there like a trooper. I cannot express how brave she is right now. She is back at square one with the pain. Now we can begin again. Please keep her in your prayers as she needs pain relief so bad. Thank you for all of your support.

Small Setback
Kelli had to visit the emergency room in Tehachapi yesterday. After some testing they decided she was dehydrated and needed further evaluation in Bakersfield. she was shipped back to Memorial hospital early this morning, when the road opened from snow and ice and is once again living the high life of getting waited on hand and foot. Hopefully she will be able to come home in a couple of days.

Our Kelli is Home!!!
Hey everyone, our Kelli is home. Bobbye went to stay with her today and was able to bring her home. Boy was she glad to get out of the hospital. Turns out the doctor informed us the tumor was 10 pounds not 7. She was the proud owner of 43 staples. Now she just wants the pain killers and family company. The nurses and helpers were awesome that took care of her and now its our turn. We appreciate all of your help and prayers. A humble thank you doesn't seem like enough, but Thanks.

Kelli is Better Every Day
Kelli is progressing more and more. Hopefully tomorrow she can start eating food again. Soft foods of course. She had a lot of company today and she was very tired by late afternoon. She still needs her pain medications and is getting up and walking more and more. Her hospital room is starting to look like a florist. We appreciate so much the love and calls and notes everyone is sending. Hopefully she will be home next week. Who knows.

Kelli Update
We found out today that the tumor that was removed had no trace of cancer in it. Good news and a productive day for Kelli. She was able to get up 5 times today. She is still in a considerable amount of pain, but getting stronger. She is still exhausted when she gets back in bed and is very sore. We'll keep you posted.

Kelli is Hangin In There
Thanks to everyone who is thinking of and praying for Kelli. She is so brave, and she amazes me with the strength and perseverance she possesses. Kelli will be in the hospital for a week and she is hanging in there. She is in a lot of pain, but she keeps her sense of humor as best as she can. Will update you as I can. The tumor that was taken out was 7 pounds.
